Last
March, when the Symposium Philosophy Club was founded, the
desire was to make to it to the Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl
in 2003, but the NHU team was on a long waiting list. In
the first week of February of 2004, plans changed. The
National Hispanic University had been moved up on the
waiting list after another university dropped out. After
funding and authorization were arranged, team L.O.G.I.C.A.
(Latinos Opening Gateways into Creative Academia), was well
on its way to being the first group to take The National
Hispanic University across the nation to the competition in
Cincinnati, Ohio. By Thursday, February 26, 2004, even last
year’s winning team, the United States Naval Academy, knew
that team L.O.G.I.C.A. was a force to be reckoned with.
The following articles detail the experiences
of Club Advisor/Coach/Professor Michael Jordan, Senior
