Dual Credential: Single Subject and Education Specialist

If you are interested in deepening your expertise in a particular subject area while expanding your work in special education, a dual teaching credential can provide you with additional skills and more employment options. With this dual credential, you would be eligible to teach in grades 7-12 and special education for grades K-12. Rather than an additional 12 to 18 months to earn a second credential, you can be recommended for a credential in a different area with an additional four to eight months of work. This program is taught on our campus in San José.

You can transfer up to six units into this program.

See the admission requirements.
