Adriana Ayala
Adriana
Ayala’s interests include
women’s and ethnoracial history
in the United States and
Chicana/o and Latina/o history.
She received her B.A. in history
with a minor in ethnic studies
at the University of California
at Berkeley and her M.A. in
history from the University of
Texas at Austin, where she is
currently working on her Ph.D.
in history. For her
dissertation, she examines how
women negotiated race relations
within their involvement in
different organizations in San
Antonio, TX.
Currently, Adriana Ayala is the
coordinator of the Liberal
Studies Department at the
National Hispanic University.
She also teaches U.S. History
and Ethnic Studies courses at
NHU.
On
her spare time, Adriana enjoys
running. She has
participated in several
marathons in Austin, Los
Angeles, and Chicago, and in
2005 she plans to run the
Honolulu marathon. |
