Shawn Vecellio

Shawn Vecellio has been a faculty member at The National Hispanic University since 2002. As the Faculty Coordinator of Advisement in the Teacher Education Department, his main role is advising Credential and Certificate candidates throughout their courses of study. He also teaches Foundations, Diversity, and Field Experience classes. His research interests include assessment, reflective practice, and the links between spirituality and teaching. Shawn is an avid reader of both fiction – especially young adult cultural literature – and non-fiction (some of his favorite authors being Parker Palmer and Harold Kushner). He enjoys traveling and dabbling in the culinary arts with his fiancé: trying new recipes and tasting California wines as well as beers from around the world. |
