Chicano/ Latino Studies Concentration
Gain an understanding of the Chicano/Latino community's important historical, cultural, social, and political contributions and issues. Dramatically underserved by social institutions, including higher education, the Chicano/Latino community is the largest ethnic group in the region. This interdisciplinary concentration provides a well-rounded introduction to this dynamic and growing community.
You can develop your cultural competence with the knowledge you can gain from this concentration. Paired with your own multicultural heritage, the program can help you support multiculturalism and diversity in your chosen profession. Through a signature capstone course in Advanced Multicultural Relations, you’ll gain a deep understanding of a range of cultures so that you can be successful in diverse environments.
