Background
Dr. Michael Hepner is a contributing online instructor at The National Hispanic University and the criminal justice program coordinator on the Meramec campus of St. Louis Community College in St. Louis. Dr. Hepner served seven years as a police officer in Illinois and Indiana, 12 years as an emergency medical technician, and three years in various positions with the Indiana Department of Corrections. Dr. Hepner has had his research and writings on developing critical thinking skills included in the journal Public Discourse and the proceedings for the Research-to-Practice Conference in Adult and Higher Education.
