Vanessa Quinn, Ph.D.

Evolution, animal behavior, ecology, science education

Dr. Quinn is a contributing faculty member of biology at The National Hispanic University. She has also been an associate professor of biology at Purdue University since 2006. Dr. Quinn has been working as a researcher and educator in biology for more than a decade and has published 17 peer-reviewed journal articles in the areas of animal behavior and global climate change. In addition, Dr. Quinn has authored a book chapter on ecosystems and several technical reports. Her current research interests include understanding how ecotourism can affect (both positively and negatively) endangered wildlife. This research uses integrative science and collaboration with computer scientists to provide wildlife managers with potential trail scenarios that will balance the impact on wildlife with the interest of ecotourists.
