Ryan Clear Credential

The Ryan clear credential program is available on campus. Upon completion of the basic requirements for a Teacher Education Program, the candidate is issued a Preliminary Certificate entitled Preliminary Credential.  This document is valid for five years during which teachers can convert to a professional CLEAR certificate/credential by completing additional requirements.

Before recommendation is made to the CCTC, the NHU will verify that Multiple Subject candidates have met Subject Matter, U.S. Constitution, fingerprint requirements and successful completion of the RICA examination. 

In addition, 2042 candidates must pass the CTC/ETS designed Teacher Performance Assessments conducted by the University in collaboration with the CTC and ETS.  BCLAD candidates must provide NHU with documentation of successful completion of the State BCLAD Test 5 and 6 or EDU 510 and Test 6.
