A teacher candidate must complete his or her BA, CBEST, and subject matter competency before becoming an Intern.  Intern Teachers are issued a certificate entitled, Intern Credential, for two years by the CCTC after agreeing to participate in a district or County Intern Program. 

A teacher candidate may also apply for a two-year Intern Certificate through his or her District HR department and NHU.

Intern Teaching Practicum

Intern teachers may use their classroom for their student teaching experience. 
Students must complete the appropriate teaching assignment in compliance with CTC requirements.
