Research Interests
Cognitive abilities required for simultaneous interpreting, professionalization of community interpreting, pedagogy

Professor Pease teaches translation and interpretation courses in the Translation and Interpretation Certificate Program at The National Hispanic University. She works as a Spanish translator of patient education monographs for First Databank, Inc. She also does freelance work as an interpreter/translator in the medical field and at the conference level and serves as a seminar interpreter for the U.S. Department of State. She previously worked for Stanford Hospital & Clinics as a Spanish medical interpreter for five years. Professor Pease is a Certified Healthcare Interpreter™
