Master's Degree Admission

Discover how NHU's online master's degree programs can contribute to your success in today's culturally diverse, globally connected world, and learn how these programs are designed to provide you with practical and relevant skills so you can advance your career and make an impact in your field.

To qualify for admission into most master's degree programs, you need the following academic requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or a verified baccalaureate from an accredited foreign institution evaluated as comparable to the United States.
  • Overall cumulative GPA of 2.5 (or higher) on a 4.0-scale in undergraduate studies.

Application Requirements

  • Completed NHU admission application

  • Official transcript from each college attended (printed in the last five years and sealed by each school)
  • GPA appeal letter (if your secondary school GPA was below 2.5 and you are seeking "conditional" admission)*

A personal goal statement is strongly recommended so that we can advise you on the best academic path.

*Candidates with less than a 2.5 GPA may petition the Office of Admissions in writing for consideration for conditional, low GPA admission for the first semester of enrollment. Candidates are admitted at the sole discretion of NHU and, if admitted, must obtain a GPA of 3.0 or better in their first semester to continue. Failure to do so may result in dismissal.
