To continue receiving federal financial aid, you need to meet standards set by the U.S. Department of Education for making progress in your program. These “satisfactory academic progress” standards are separate from NHU’s requirements for completing and graduating from your program.

If you receive federal financial aid, your academic progress will be reviewed each semester. If you are not making satisfactory progress, we will let you know and help you get back on track. If you are still not making satisfactory progress after another term, you may lose your eligibility for financial aid unless you successfully appeal for a period of financial aid probation.
Our vision is that all students will graduate, and NHU's Center for College Success offers a range of support services to help you complete your program.
