Create Academic Class schedule each
semester for undergraduate studies
and make changes, additions, and
cancellations.

Assign rooms for classes.

Ensure schedule is entered in EMS
software (to reserve classrooms).

Ensure “pink slips” are submitted to
Registrar’s office for any changes
done to the schedule (through
e-mails or paper copy).

Ensure updated and accurate schedule
information is provided to NHU
Webmaster.

Work with Faculty to obtain accurate
book information for classes.

Compile booklist and book orders and
submit to SJSU bookstore.
-
Work very closely with Registrar’s
office to ensure course offerings
are accurate and in place.

Provide Registrar with e-copy of
Schedule and booklist.
-
Work with Chairs to make sure
procedures are in place to ensure
Academic Operations Officer is
proactively identifying academic and
faculty needs.

Attend Academic Council Planning
meetings and take minutes.

Assign staff for night supervisor
duty each module.
-
Create and set up Evaluation
schedule for each module and inform
faculty.
-
Staff class schedule (call and staff
faculty).
-
Work with Human Resources to ensure
all new faculty are in compliance
with NHU hiring procedures.

Create Faculty pay grid and ensure
payment.
-
Provide new Faculty orientation upon
hiring.
-
Create and maintain faculty
contracts.
-
Liaison person for faculty.
-
Help recruit new adjunct (receive
resumes and forward to chairs after
review).

Create and provide Faculty with
copier password for copier.
-
Maintain Faculty in-box and update
each module.
-
Manage Faculty regalia ordering for
graduation.
-
Work with Provost/Chairs to develop
and/or help implement faculty
workshops for employment development
and archive activities.

Work closely with full time faculty,
Chairs and provost to spear-head
“project based” faculty needs.
-
Perform other related duties as
assigned.
