San Jose -
The National Hispanic University is happy to announce that this
year's commencement speaker will be alumnus, Celina Rodgriguez,
Class of 1993. Celina currently works as an anchor for CNN
en Espanol and is the weekend host of her own show, Primera Edicion, on
the same network. She is a graduate of the Translation and
Interpretation Studies program and went on to become an anchor with
KSTS-Telemundo for several years before joining CNN.
"We are extremely excited to have Celina
take time out of her busy schedule to share her professional
experience with our students and their families. This year's
commencement takes on even more significance, as it is dedicated to
the memory of the late founding President, Dr. B. Roberto Cruz.
He considered this as the highlight of the academic year and Celina
will, undoubtedly, add to the most special of occasions," said
Acting President Maria Elena Riddle.
Commencement Exercises will be on
Saturday, June 7th at 9:30 AM on the athletic field of The National
Hispanic University at 14271 Story Road in San Jose, California.
