The National Hispanic University and Latino College Preparatory Academy to host International Music Entertainer Carlos Santana
(San Jose, CA)— The National
Hispanic University (NHU)
and the Latino College Preparatory
Academy (LCPA) will host
international music entertainer
Carlos Santana on Wednesday, April 25th from 2:00-3:00 PM. He
will be coming to visit the
students of the schools and
to pursue his interest in helping them to realize their full
potential.
Carlos
and Deborah Santana have been active in making
a positive contribution to
the welfare of the underserved
through their foundation-
The Milagro Foundation. The
Milagro Foundation was started
in 1998 by Deborah and Carlos
Santana to benefit underrepresented
and underprivileged children
around the world. With
funds generated by concert
ticket donations and generous
individual and corporate
donors, the foundation makes
grants to grassroots, community-based tax exempt organizations
that work with children and youth in the San Francisco Bay
Area, the United States and countries around the world touched
by the music of Santana.
“We are honored to host Mr. Santana and
that he has taken an interest
in the great work we are
doing here at NHU and LCPA”,
said NHU President Dr.
David Lopez.
Mr.
Santana will visit the east side San Jose campus
of NHU and speak at an assembly
of the Latino College Preparatory
Academy. Students
will have an opportunity
to hear from the music legend
and ask questions.
