Dual Credential: Multiple Subject and Education Specialist

If you are interested in teaching more than one subject or multiple grade levels, a dual teaching credential can provide you with expanded skills and additional employment options. With this dual credential, you would be prepared to teach multiple subject matters in grades K-8 as well as special education for grades K-12. Rather than an additional 12 to 18 months to earn a second credential, you can be recommended for a credential in a different area with an additional four to eight months of work. This program is taught on our campus in San José.

You can transfer up to six units into this program.

See the admission requirements.
